Chief Executive of Newmarket Co-operative Creameries Chairman of the Irish Dairy Board Interim CEO Wexford Creameries Ltd Michael has over 34 years experience of working in the food and dairy industry in Ireland. He began his career in Newmarket Co-operative Creameries as Farm Services Manager before becoming Chief Executive in 1993, a position he held until the co-operative was purchased in 2010 by the Kerry Group. As Chief Executive he was responsible, along with his management team and the Board, for developing a vision and implementing a strategy to provide for significant growth and shareholder value. He has an in-depth knowledge of the Irish dairy industry gained from his long tenure as CEO of Newmarket Co-op and from his time as Chairman of the Irish Dairy Board. Michael is currently a board member of Bord Bia and is Chairman of their Quality Assurance Board.

With a Doctorate and Masters in Business Administration and a B.Sc. (Dairying), Jim has 33 years experience in the food and dairy industry, including more than 25 years international experience in mainland Europe and the UK. Throughout his career, Jim has been involved in areas such as procurement, ripening, pre-packing and distribution of a complete range of chilled foods, processed meats and dairy products to large retailers, industrial clients, food service industry and speciality shops. During that period, he has been actively involved in the acquisition and divestment of a range of companies. In recent times he has focussed on the incorporation of lean manufacturing principles into a number of companies. He has also led in the development and implementation of strategic plans including restructuring where this was required.

(Food Technology) and a Diploma in Chemical Technology, Joe has 40 years’ experience in the food and dairy industry, including 24 years at Senior Executive level with the Irish Dairy Board having responsibility across a range of functional disciplines. He has served on various National food industry bodies. Joe was the inaugural Chairman of Moorepark Technology Ltd a collaborative State / Industry pre- commercial research facility. He serves on the Consumer Foods Subsidiary board of Bord Bia, (Irish Food Board). He is a former member of the Teagasc Industry Advisory Committee on Dairy Processing, the Advisory Council to the National Foods Centre, as well as the Enterprise Ireland National Functional Foods Forum. He has extensive, in-depth International expertise regarding leadership of large scale global business, strategic development, International brand marketing management, innovation/product development, commercialisation and sales.
